My Car
Preface:
Ever since my grandma got one in 1993, I've wanted a Honda Accord. And now, I finally have one. :-) I have aquired my very own 1988 Honda Accord LX. It only has a 4 Cylinder Engine, but that's fine for now, i'll make my way back into a V6 later on in life. For now, I enjoy the comfort and elegance of my "new" Accord. I say new cause, it's new to me and it only had 69k miles on it when I got it, not bad for a car that is 12 years old huh? It has a Maroon (red) body color and a debateable interrior color. I think it look like redish brown, but my girlfriend, and parents all say that it's Maroon colored, I still don't completely agree with them on that though, but that's ok, cause it's my car. :-) It is also a 5-speed (manual) transmission, which I like very much. I always wanted to learn to drive "stick", and ever since my soon to be sister in law (yes Melanie, that's you) taught me, I've wanted a car that had a manual transmission in it. I aquired this car on October 10th, 2000 via an estate sale. Since I purchased the car, I have "spiffyed" it up a little bit. I installed a Sony CDX-M600 CD Stereo deck, and a DEI SideWinder Security system. The security system has lots and lots of features and trinkets to go along with it that help in making the car very very protected. Since the Honda Accord is the #1 stolen car in the USA, I did feel the Alarm/Security system was a proper move, but the alarm isn't going to be the only type of security I have on this marvelous ride of mine. I'm going to do quite a few more things that will make taking this baby away from me, a very hard task. No clues now, otherwise that would just defeat the purpose of me doing what I plan to do.. hehehe... anyway, i'll have an "car updates" page that will have all my "spiffy's" on it...
